The Role

The Junior Designer will work with Senior Designers and key personnel and have  responsibility for the following:-

  • Support and assist the design team as required and mentored by the Designers
  • Offer alternate and additional design ideas to designers working on projects
  • Make amendments to design work
  • Assist Lead Designers when attending site and client meetings
  • Provide support to the pre-contract and delivery teams       
  • Ensure agreed project process is maintained
  • Liaise with other team functions to ensure that the design is coordinated throughout each project through to completion
  • To become aware of emerging design, statutory regulations and bylaws as well as compliance with legislation i.e. Building Control
  • Opportunity for progression and gradual increased responsibilities towards running your own projects

The Candidate

  • Relevant degree/diploma or college qualification (e.g. Interior Architecture, Interior Design)
  • 1-2 years experience in the office interior design and build sector or similar
  • Creative designer with an understanding of design to budget and deadlines
  • Team player
  • Strong attention to detail, highly organised
  • Excellent presentation, verbal and communication skills
  • AutoCAD, Photoshop, InDesign (not essential but desirable) and MS Office
