The Employer

The Role


  • No 1 on site, site and project management – client facing
  • To manage contracts achieving zero defects, within budget and to programme, including the management of the site team and sub-contractors
  • Work in conjunction with project finance, design, contracts and aftercare teams to ensure projects are delivered to specification, on time and to budget


  • Ensuring a smooth transition from the pre-contract to construction phases
  • Set up (each site) with a professional team of tradesmen and site staff (labour, plant and materials); Supervision, direction and guidance of site staff
  • Organise and Chair site meetings
  • Programme and organise work, assessing critical path activities to complete each project on time and prioritise extra works to maintain a consistent level of service
  • Ensure project documentation is properly set up and maintained
  • Manage all site activities, sub contracts and implementation of Company and Statutory Heath, Safety, Environmental objectives – manage training on same
  • Ensure company procedures are being fully adopted on all projects
  • Ensure QA procedures are implemented
  • Have a clear knowledge and understanding of contract law in order to adequately project the company’s position whilst liaising closely with the Senior Contract Manager
  • Ensure the cornerstones of ‘perfect delivery’ are achieved and maintained           


The Candidate

  • Professional qualification in building or civil engineering / other relevant certification
  • Minimum 5 years experience of project management in the refurbishment/fit out sector
  • Team player; highly organised with excellent communications at all levels
  • Ability to ‘make it happen’ in a fast moving business
  • Excellent presentation, verbal and communication skills
